The oldest shoe ever encountered seems to date back to 3500 BC., it was found in a good state of conservation in a cave in present-day Armenia: scholars are convinced that it is made of a single piece of cowhide, fastened in the front and in the back with a cord of leather.
The story of the shoe is very ancient and therefore seems to have followed the path of man towards modernity, step by step. Greek knights wore leather or cloth boots, while the creation of the shoe “à la Poulaine", worn exclusively by the rich, is instead traced back to the ancient Germanic folk.Today the men's shoe is available in many different versions, well-known trademarks, the most famous of which come from England, France and Italy, have now established themselves all over the world selling the most popular items for men and women.
